The Celtic Studies Program at UC Berkeley seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Irish Studies for the 2022-23 academic year, with the possibility of renewal. The successful appointee will be able to teach Modern Irish language courses when offered, and to teach our Irish literature courses and Celtic culture courses in English, with the possibility of teaching Old Irish language as well as Reading & Composition using Celtic literature in English translation. Applicants should be fluent in Modern Irish and in English, and should have teaching experience ideally at the college level.
