Dan, BYU Independent Study has some online university Arabic courses  with rolling enrollment (so students can enroll at any time during the year) - I believe they have 101 and 102. Not sure if they have the intermediate level or not. Website: is.byu.edu.

Illinois has the Summer Institute for Languages of the Muslim World that might be a great fit!

Subject: [Calico-l] Searching for Arabic online or summer courses

Hello everyone:

I have a situation where I need to tap in to your expertise. We have a student taking Arabic and she needs to get some credits in Arabic to meet her language requirements pretty quickly.

I am looking for any recommendations for

1) Elementary and/or Intermediate Arabic courses that provides university academic credit;

2) a summer study program in Elementary and/or Intermediate Arabic that is based in the USA, Mexico, or Canada; or

3) a regular summer course in Elementary and/or Intermediate Arabic at an accredited university.

Any help greatly appreciated.
