Hi Paul! We have a brief history page on our website. When we hosted CALICO in 2013 we set up an exhibit with materials and technologies that date back from the beginnings of our Center in the 1950's. It's quite interesting to see how inappropriate the content of some of those materials can be when one looks at them from a 2019 perspective!... The timeline on the page linked here is actually one of three posters we created for that exhibit, which are linked below. I hope this is useful.

Dear colleagues,

I'm looking to gather information regarding the early language laboratories. I would be very grateful if you could send me any historical information regarding your labs and centers as in when they began and/or pictures you might have on hand. Letters, memos, captions and other sources that support the dates and stories would be even more helpful! I'm particularly interested in centers that date back to the early 20th century, say within the first three or four decades 1900-1930 or 1940.

Cheers,
