Where can we find a speech perception assessment tool for English and/or Spanish? The ones I’m aware of are:
- POSE Test (http://posetest.com) tests vowels, consonants, intonation and stress. This is good but too “bottom up” for our requirement. ESL only.
- SPATS-ESL. Is this company still in business? Their 2009 paper shows a test of words and sentences (exactly what I need) plus a phonemes test. ESL only.
- TOEFL’s speech perception assessment is listening to a five-minute lecture and then answering questions. This is too “top down” for our requirements. ESL only.
- Yabla seems to assess words and sentences, in a variety of languages.
Are there any others?
